G’day Guys,
Let me give you some insights into this Business model. I started out in tourism driving Coaches back in 2009. A big part of my job was to conduct full commentary day tours to areas like The Blue Mountains, Sydney Sights, Hunter Valley and beyond. The driving part was relatively easy to pickup however the learning for commentary never stops.
It took a good few years to feel as if I had a good understanding of how things worked in the day touring circuit and what made a great tour. What I noticed during my time was what customers liked and more importantly what they didn’t like. So it got me to thinking, what if I was to offer a more personalised service where once you were picked up, you were on tour. Once you were ready to leave a destination, we left. Or if you wanted to spend more time, you could. You had no-one else talking over the top of you or your guide, which is common.
The only feasible way this could happen was to provide a private tour, one where you got what you wanted. You never waited for others, you by-passed destinations you had no interest in. instead of simply listening to commentary you could have an actual conversation.
The perfect solution was to offer guests their own vehicle. Having an interest in all things technical the task was then to develop the concept. The decision, well that part was easy the solution needed a lot of development and research on so many levels. But I’m incredibly proud to say we’ve come a long way up until now and we’ve only just begun.
