Escape to the country - in the Dandenong Ranges.
You turn up the meandering driveway to reach your cottage, an intriguing welcome to your getaway.
This quintessential country cottage offers fresh, light Hamptons style decorations in a spacious luxuriously appointed self contained cottage.
The front veranda welcomes you into the open plan living room with a wood burning fire (and airconditioning). Push back the Plantation shutters for views to the garden and pony paddock - you'll know you are really on holiday!
The king size bed is adjacent to the living room and can be closed off by sliding plantation doors if you choose - or simply enjoy the space and light and views out the windows.
A beautiful bathroom offers you an indulgent deep slipper bath, a walk in shower and beautiful window - again with Plantation shutters you can open up the windows and your loved one can pass you a glass of bubbly while you loll in the bath! Perfect!
The hallway hides a full laundry ready for you if required and this leads you into the beautifully equipped kitchen with a built in bench seat, lovely dining table, and full cooking facilities, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine too. From here you can also wander onto the back veranda where chairs are placed for you to enjoy your time in the morning sun sipping your coffee.
A 2 day breakfast hamper is included in your stay, so no need to go anywhere, just hide away!
Wifi? Of course. Television of course. Total peace and privacy - absolutely. You will love this country cottage - and only 5 minutes from Sassafras village and all the lovely walks of the Dandenongs.

If you are travelling from Melbourne city, choose either the Monash Freeway or Eastlink.

Monash Freeway, turn off at Ferntree Gully Road (9), and come up to the Burwood Highway (22), head towards the hill, go under the railway bridge and take the left branch up the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road (C415) to Sassafras Village.

If coming via Eastlink, please follow Eastlink to Burwood Highway (22), then follow the directions above.

BEWARE of GPS directions - they may well take you the shortest route, which could bring you up the steep wobbly Basin Olinda Road which is an unmade road. Everyone who does this looks traumatised. We want you to be certain and relaxed!
