We are a 4.5 star hosted bed & breakfast and live onsite. We have been judged by our peers in the Tourism Industry to be the best B&B in the country having been awarded the Gold Medal in the Hosted Accommodation category in the 2019 Australian Tourism Awards and finalists in the 2021 Australian Awards as well as been inducted into the Tasmanian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame as winners of the Hosted Accommodation category 3 years in a row from 2018. We serve a full English breakfast cooked to order as well as continental goodies included in the room tariff. We are also wheelchair accessible and situated in the centre of Dover and within walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, clubs and the beach.

As of 2021, when Ashdowns of Dover took home gold at the Tasmanian Tourism Awards, it has proudly become part of the Hall of Fame in Hosted Accommodation after receiving its third award.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 2pm 3 days prior to arrival. Reservations cancelled after this time will be charged a penalty equivalent to the cost of one nights stay.

If you fail to provide notice of cancellation or fail to arrive as per your booking (no-show) you will be charged a penalty equivalent to 100% of the cost of your entire stay.
