Bangalay was designed to blend softly with the surrounding natural environment of protected national parks, pristine waterways, local wildlife and abundant food sources.

Conveniently located close by to the attractions of the Shoalhaven and South Coast, Bangalay is only a short, scenic drive to the boutique towns of Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Kiama, Gerroa, Gerringong or further south to the white sand beaches of Jervis Bay.
The intimate luxury villas have been designed with comfort and style as paramount, capturing the coastal breeze as well as the sweeping views down the golf course and out to the scenic mountain range.
The area is blessed with amazing natural features as well as thriving local producers passionate about the paddock to plate movement. Completing your Bangalay experience, the onsite restaurant Bangalay Dining is devoted to creating dishes full of integrity with just a sprinkling of whimsy, with highly awarded Head Chef Brent Strong passionate about delivering quality food from local, respected producers and incorporating the foraging element in a sustainable and ethical way. Bangalay Dining is overseen by acclaimed Chef Thomas Johns, previous owner and executive chef of Two Hatted restaurant Pello. The venue offers both formal dining and an alfresco area, where you can enjoy a cocktail by the bar looking out over the pool and golf course whilst enjoying the ocean breeze as you sit back, relax and connect with each other over a delectable meal.
The South Coast region is a year-round destination, where you can beach hop all day, window shop through charming local villages, or challenge yourself on a nearby walking track designed to reward you with breathtaking panoramas stretching from the country through to the coast. Directions
Bangalay is located at 30 Staples Street, Shoalhaven Heads, on the South Coast of New South Wales. An easy and scenic two hour drive south on the Princes Highway from Sydney and a pleasant 3 hour drive north on the Hume Highway from Canberra.
Private return airport transfers can be arranged to Sydney Domestic and International Airport on booking, or you may wish to take your time and explore the area a little by self-drive via a hire car company.
Directions from Shoalhaven Visitor Centre:
Head North on Bridge Rd
Turn Left onto the Princess Hyw
Cross the Shoalhaven River and turn toward Bomaderry onto BOLONG RD.
Turn right at the roundabout and continue on BOLONG RD
Turn right onto Shoalhaven Heads Rd.
Turn Left onto McInstosh St then continue left onto Staples St
Bangalay Luxury Villas is on the Right.
Cancellation Policy
Minimum 2 Night Stay on Weekends
Property Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees are payable within 14 days of cancellation of the booking.
Smoking
All villas and public spaces are 100% non-smoking. A $500AUD cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates the smoking policy.
Payment
Third party credit card payments require completion of hotel issued credit card authorisation form. This must be arranged with the hotel prior to arrival. Guests paying cash will be asked to pay full accommodation rates plus $100 AUD bond per stay for incidentals. The unused portion of the bond will be refunded at checkout.
Pets
Only service animals are permitted at Bangalay. No other animals are permitted.
Occupancy
We can accommodate a maximum of four adults in our one bedroom villas utilising the sofa bed and six adults in our two bedroom villas. Rate is based on two adults with a surcharge per additional person.
Noise/Disturbance
Guests are not allowed to hold parties in villas. A noise complaint will result in eviction from the complex without a refund.
Late Checkout
Guests checking out after 10am will be charged a fee of 20AUD per hour until 5pm. Check-outs after 4pm will incur a full night fee. Late checkouts after 10am can only be confirmed the morning of departure.
Gift Certificates
To purchase or redeem a gift certificate please contact the hotel directly during business hours from Monday through Friday.
Extra Bedding
Porta cots are available. Please contact us prior to your stay to make arrangements.
Early Arrival
Early arrivals may be granted upon request based on availability. A guest who requires a room prior to the standard check in of 2pm is recommended to include the previous night when making a reservation. An additional fee of up to 100% of one night’s room rate may apply for arrivals before 2pm.
Early Departure
An early departure fee may be imposed on guests departing prior to their scheduled departure date. Full
