Alternatively, you might enjoy fishing from the private jetty or taking a relaxing stroll around the 80 acre property and discovering the native fauna and flora. Whatever you choose, you will be enchanted with the charm and grandeur of this federation style homestead with its peaceful valley views. Branell Homestead's main distinctive difference is its very high quality luxurious rural accommodation. Branell Homestead is also a stunning wedding venue. Branell can offer you a stylish, country wedding with luxurious accommodation. Small wedding receptions of up to 20 people can be held at Branell in the spacious deck area in the centre of the homestead. If required, wedding ceremonies can be conducted either on the large front lawn or at various other picturesque locations on the property. Branell is a proposed wedding venue for larger weddings in 2011. At Branell Homestead, it is not compulsory to organize your catering and alcohol through us. You may do your own catering and simply hire out Branell Homestead as your country wedding venue. All we ask is that you book out all three suites at the homestead for the night of your wedding and that you pay a small venue hire fee for the use of the pergola by the Jetty for your reception. Your wedding will be very affordable because you will not have to pay per head for food and alcohol. At Branell Homestead, you can have a very personalized, affordable wedding in a beautiful country location. You can also relax with a massage or beauty treatment when you stay at Branell Homestead. There are a variety of different day spa treatments for you to enjoy when you stay with us, including: remedial/deep tissue full body massage, aromatherapy full body massage, full body exfoliation and hydrating treatment, deluxe facial, deluxe manicure, deluxe pedicure, tinting and waxing, make-up application and we can also organise two masseuses if couples wish to have their massages at the same time.

If you do require a day spa treatment during your stay with us, please let us know at the time of your booking.

If you have a group of people coming to stay, it is possible to book out the entire homestead (which accommodates up to 8 people) for your own exclusive private use.

Branell Homestead is also a perfect location for both wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions.

Some features of Branell Homestead Bed and Breakfast include: fabulous views, handsomely appointed guest rooms with antique furnishings, all suites fully ensuited, large verandas and spacious deck, large mango orchard, 80 acre farm, media room with wall-sized projector screen, floor to ceiling library, fishing for native fish, fully air-conditioned and only one hour from Brisbane. Families are welcome.

Branell Homestead Bed and Breakfast is located in the middle of an 80 acre farm. We do not have daily organized farm activities or animal feeding at set times during the day.

Instead, we provide our guests who would like to feed the animals with some free hay or grain for the cows, calves and pony. The cattle and the pony wander past the house once a day and when they come past, you can feed and pat them. Alternatively, some guests take some hay or grain with them and go for a walk on the farm to find the cows and the pony.

Rather than having daily organized activities, Branell Homestead is a do-it-yourself farm stay. You can feed the chickens some grain from the feed bins in the chicken coop and you can collect their eggs. The fishing tackle may be used free of charge (if you do wish to fish, please bring along your own bait). We show all of our guests where our walking tracks are and provide them with complimentary firewood for the outside campfire.

If you enjoy bushwalking, there is a 1km Mountain View Walk you can do or a 1km Native Bush Walk.

Cancellation Policy

A fifty percent deposit is required upon booking a room. The deposit will be refunded by cheque in the mail if a cancellation is made with at least two weeks notice. If a cancellation is made with less than two weeks notice the deposit will not be refunded.
Please note that although all due care has been taken prices are subject to correction without notice.

From Brisbane, head west taking the Warrego Highway to Plainland. At Plainland take the turnoff south to Laidley.

From Toowoomba head east taking the Warrego Highway to Plainland. Just before Plainland take the turnoff south to Laidley.

Just before the railway line and the main street, turn left into Railway Street. Turn left into Summer Road. Turn right into Paroz Road. Branell Homestead is number 12, on the right, approximately 200 metres before the top of the hill. If you lose your way, please feel free to call us on 5465 1788.
