Spear Creek Holiday Park
Details
Spear Creek Holiday Park offers a diverse range of camping options including Premium Powered, Standard Powered, Unpowered, and Bush Camping sites. The Premium Powered Sites are extra spacious, many drive-through and big-rig friendly, with added privacy and scenic bush or mountain views, ideal for group bookings. Standard Powered Sites are centrally located with gravel bases, easy utility access, and proximity to key facilities like amenity blocks and a coffee cart. For a more rustic experience, the Bush Camping Sites offer a unique stay along the gum creek, some with power, all with access to spring water, fire rings, and nearby flushing toilets. These bush camps can accommodate groups of up to 12 caravans, making them perfect for gatherings. A key point of difference is that these sites are thoughtfully positioned to maximise privacy and showcase the natural beauty of the Flinders Ranges.
Spear Creek Holiday Park is a family-owned business nestled in the Southern Flinders Ranges, with roots dating back to the 1940s. Originally a Merino sheep station, the Herde family transitioned to Dorper sheep in the 1990s, adapting to changing market conditions. In the mid-1990s, the second generation launched a tourism and training centre, sharing the station's rugged charm with visitors. Now in its fourth generation, Tom Herde and his partner Jai have rebranded the park, introducing modern amenities and plans for expansion. Their vision is to offer unique, nature-based experiences that reflect the beauty and heritage of Spear Creek. Welcoming guests to their home, they invite you to explore this peaceful outback retreat.
