Glen Helen is surrounded by the majestic MacDonnell Ranges, and is a destination in its own right, with easy day trip access to the whole West MacDonnell National Park, including; Palm Valley, Hermannsburg, Ormiston Gorge, Redbank Gorge, Mt Sonder, Gosse Bluff (Tnorala) and many other outstanding natural attractions. There are amazing hiking options throughout the region, with the world famous 'Larapinta Trail' on our doorstep, there's plenty of opportunity to observe the local wildlife including many bird species, rock wallabies, dingoes and lizards.

Glen Helen Lodge is the only roofed accommodation located within the Tjoritja - West MacDonnell Ranges National Park, 130km west of Alice Springs.

Directions

Driving Directions from the East (Alice Springs):
- Follow Larapinta Drive west following signs to Hermannsburg. Travel approx 50km
- Turn right onto Namatjira Drive at the Glen Helen sign
- Follow the sealed road (Namatjira Drive) 80km to the signs to Glen Helen Gorge.
- The Glen Helen Gorge/ Homestead entrance is on the left.

Driving Directions from the West (Kings Canyon- 4WD ONLY):
- Drive North from Kings Canyon on sealed road (12km) which then becomes the unsealed Larapinta Drive( Mereenie Loop Road.) Travel approx 120km.
- Turn left onto Namatjira drive, a sealed road, at signs to Tnorala and Glen Helen.
- The Glen Helen Gorge/ Homestead entrance is on the right after approx 100km.

Cancellation Policy

Any cancellations or amendments requested within fourteen (14) days of arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to one hundred (100) percent of the booking (inclusive of all accommodation pre-booked meals conferencing functions and tours).
No refunds are available in the event of an early departure or non-arrival.
