Kingfisher Bay Resort is located north of the Sunshine Coast and is the gateway to the World Heritage wilderness of Fraser Island, its ancient rainforest, spectacular fresh-water lakes and famous 75-Mile Beach. The resort nestles among tree-covered dunes on the edge of the calm waters of the Great Sandy Strait and is a paradise for boating, fishing, swimming, bush walking, four-wheel driving and just enjoying the magnificent, natural beauty of this island.

At Kingfisher Bay you can do as much or as little as you want - relax with a cocktail by one of the four swimming pools, play tennis, simply bubble in a spa, indulge at the natural therapy and beauty clinic or just go fishing and get chef to cook your catch. Enjoy Australian bush foods and wonderful fresh seafood at any of the three restaurants.

Junior Eco Ranger program for kids includes art, walks, orienteering, rope courses and canoeing, spotlighting for animals, stargazing and campfires with damper making, story telling and sing-a longs. Baby-sitting is also available.

Directions

Fraser Island lies off the Queensland coast, a four-hour drive north of the capital of Brisbane. Virgin Blue and Qantas Airlines run daily direct flights to the Fraser Coast/Hervey Bay from Sydney and Brisbane with connections to all other ports as well as daily coach and train transfers from Brisbane.

Kingfisher Passenger and Vehicle Ferry has 4 main services to the resort each day from River Heads and return. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes.

All guests are advised to arrive at our Mainland Reception River Heads to check-in 40 minutes prior to the ferry departure time. A courtesy shuttle from Mainland Reception to the jetty will leave 10 minutes prior to departure for our walk-on passengers.

Extra Charges apply for passenger ferry transfers and/or vehicle ferry transfers. Not including in the room/ villa rates unless otherwise stated. The cost of return passenger ferry transfer is based on per person and return vehicle ferry transfer is based on per 4WD vehicle plus 4 passengers and will be charged and payable direct at the resort.

NOTE: All guests booked via bookeasy.com will be automatically booked on passenger ferry transfers for a 3.30pm departure from River Heads and 1030 am departure from the resort. To amend passenger ferry booking details or change to a vehicle ferry transfer service, please call 1800 Fraser(372737).

Cancellation Policy

Within 30 days no refund upon cancellations no amendments. Within 31-60 days 1 night upon cancellation amendments to booking allow.
