Self-contained camping just minutes from Launceston CBD, providing a perfect base for exploring Launceston and the Tamar Valley!

Open October to May each year.

Discover campgrounds nestled amongst lakes, the North Esk River, bushland with short walks, on-site restaurant, farm shop, animal nursery and blueberry orchard offering seasonal PYO fruit and frozen berry ice-cream.

Conveniences include both power and unpowered sites, town water access at all sites, toilets and dump point.

Please note Old Macs does not have shower facilities.

Tents or sleeping in cars not permitted.

Powers sites are $40 per night and require online booking.

Unpowered sites are $20 per night with no booking required - simply turn up, pick a site and self-register/pay at any information hut.

Directions

The tip here is to avoid Howick Street (Google leads many guests via Howick Street)!

Travelling from Devonport, stay right hand lane where Bass Hwy ends in Launceston for exit towards Hobart/Launceston Airport (Midland Hwy). Then take first exit towards Kings Meadows. Google maps will lead you to Old Macs Farm.

Travelling from Hobart, take Kings Meadows exit off the Midlands Highway. Google maps will lead you to Old Macs Farm.

Travelling from East Coast via St Marys or Lake Leake, follow Midland Hwy then take Kings Meadows exit. Google maps will lead you to Old Macs Farm.

Travelling from the North (Exeter, George Town, Bridport), follow Wellington Street through the CBD south towards Hobart and on to the Midlands Highway, then take Kings Meadows exit. Google maps will lead you to Old Macs Farm.

Cancellation Policy

Powered sites include power, connection to town drinking water and toilet facilities.
Please note we do not have shower facilities. Toilets and a dump point are adjacent to power sites 1 to 7.
Motorhome sites will only fit rental motorhomes or similar private motorhomes. Caravans please book caravan sites.
Each site only fits one vehicle. For group bookings, please book multiple sites.
Payment in full is required to confirm your booking.
Maximum 7 night booking.
Check in from 2pm (unless site vacated by prior guests, then early check in permitted).
Strictly no tents.
