Riverview at Ross - Ross TASMANIA

Riverview at Ross was constructed in 2005, with clean well maintained accommodation consisting of Georgian styled cottages. We are in a quiet culdesac alongside the Macquarie River and a 2 minute walk from the glorious heritage village of Ross. We are a convenient distance to the Midlands Highway and almost halfway between Hobart and Launceston and only 1 hour from Swansea so make a convenient base to explore many areas. We have 2 rooms with king beds and 1 twin as well as 6 queen rooms and 3x 2 bedroom units ( these can be turned into a one bedroom option on request) Each room has a large ensuite bathroom with walk in corner shower, unlimited WIFI internet, kettle & toaster, microwave, refrigerator in a small kitchenette with crockery etc supplied. We have reverse cycle air-conditioning and electric blankets. There is a coin operated laundry onsite a an outdoor bbq and cooking area with picnic table. We supply all amenities fir guest use and pride ourselves on sustainable practices where possible. The quaint motel style rooms are nestled in pretty gardens with bantam chickens and small wren and finches that like to come and say hi while you are sitting outside your rooms in the sunshine relaxing on a warm day. Small dogs are allowed by arrangement only We have 2 mobility friendly rooms ( 9 and 10) that have adjustable showerheads , grab rails and shower chair/ toilet raiser on request. All units are ground floor with accessible paths and only a small step up into the room and parking at the door . Enjoy the history of the splendid convict built Ross Bridge, Tasmanian Wool Centre and the ruins of the Convict Female Factory. Visit the bakeries and the craft and collectables shop fronts in Ross. For lunch or dinner we have The Ross Hotel that serves seasonal and locally sourced fabulous pub food in a warm olde english styled inn ( no Pokies !) All this is on the main street of Ross ! We are also a wonderful place to view the Aurora and try to take a snap of its colourful lights as we lie on the 42 parallel and have very liitle light pollution in our village
