The Beeches offers you a chance to get away together, or with friends or family for a stay in the Dandenong Ranges.
Newly renovated - there is a fabulous kitchen, a loungeroom with a gas log fire (and ducted heating of course!), three bedrooms (two with TV), a laundry if you'd like to stay a little longer. There is a shower room with a toilet beautifully renovated and a separate toilet as well. The delight will be the bath room which is just gorgeous and romantic!

This property was originally the site of a nursery, so there are big Beech trees and other maples right through the garden - so lovely spots for you to sit in the shady sun and enjoy a glass of wine!

You are walking distance to Mount Dandenong village, therefore the Bakery, Deli Platter, Organic Fanatic, 3 cafes, IGA grocery shop. And the Mount Dandenong Hotel is open 7 days, and Kelly's Tavern and Pig and Whistle are also right nearby and open daily - you'll hardly need your car. However you will want, we're sure, to visit the villages of Olinda and Sassafras and even meander out to the Yarra Valley.

Wifi? Of course. Coffee machine? Of course.

Generous breakfast provisions, including eggs, are provided for your first 2 nights. There is a minibar too - just need a little cash for that (but there is an ATM at the IGA bottle shop).

If you are travelling from Melbourne city, choose either the Monash Freeway or Eastlink.

Monash Freeway, turn off at Ferntree Gully Road (9), and come up to the Burwood Highway (22), head towards the hill, go under the railway bridge and take the left branch up the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road (C415) to Sassafras Village.

When you come through Sassafras, 3kms further to Olinda, you will vere left as you come to the shops, then turn immediately right down Monash Avenue, past the Olinda Pharmacy. Candlelight Cottages are 500 meters (3 speed humps) down Monash Avenue on your right. Park in the first car park at 9 Monash Avenue.

If coming via Eastlink, please follow Eastlink to Burwood Highway (22), then follow the directions above.

BEWARE of GPS directions - they may well take you the shortest route, which could bring you up the steep wobbly Basin Olinda Road which is an unmade road. Everyone who does this looks traumatised. We want you to be certain and relaxed!
